Relationships are an essential part of our lives and, at different points, can be rewarding and challenging. All relationships face challenges and most of the time these can be resolved within the relationship. There can, however, be times where couples may feel stuck and that they can't find a way out and this is where couples therapy can help.
During sessions, we will work together to look at what is currently happening and how we can work towards finding a deeper connection and emotional wellbeing within the relationship. We will look at patterns that might be occurring and if there can be a more helpful and constructive way of addressing issues that arise.
Sometimes couples come to therapy because they feel a split would be best and they want to work on doing so amicably. This is something we can do in a neutral and non-judgmental space.
Whatever your reasons for coming, I will offer you both a compassionate and non-judgemental space to explore your thoughts and feelings, enhancing communication and understanding between you. Our work together will enable you to work towards resolving conflicts, rebuilding trust and fostering intimacy.
It can feel daunting taking that first step in starting couples therapy. I offer a free 15 minute consultation to see how I can support both of you.

All work is individualised to the couple. As a guide, I will be facilitating conversations between you and your partner, looking into responses in more depth. Some of our work will involve carrying out tasks, some will involve looking at skills around communication. At all times, I will remain non-judgemental and will not be taking sides.
The first session may look slightly different to future sessions. This is because we will be getting to know each other, getting an overview of what has brought you to couples counselling, and agreeing on what you would like to get out of the sessions.
Yes, it can. The session will be able to provide a neutral and non-judgemental space for you both to express your feelings, understand underlying factors that may have led to the infidelity, and work towards rebuilding trust and intimacy, if that is what both partners want.
It's not unusual for one partner to be initially hesitant about therapy. I offer a free 15 minute consultation where you can both meet me and talk through any concerns about attending therapy you may have. Please use the 'find out more' button towards the top of the page to contact me.
